Dearica Hamby
Dearica Hamby is progressively establishing herself as a dominant player in the WNBA after a rocky start. She won the WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year title two years in a row with the Las Vegas Aces before making her All-Star debut in 2021.
Hamby attributes her achievements to hard effort and the encouragement of her basketball-obsessed family. Alonzo Nelson-Ododa, her husband, played in the NBA G League and overseas, while Olivia Nelson-Ododa, her sister-in-law, is a UConn basketball star.
